Samuel H. Graves (1852-1911) was the first president of White Pass.in 1885, Graves had become an associate of Close Brothers, the firm that later financed the White Pass.

During WWII, the US Army brought many narrow gauge engines North. One of the famous one where the Denver & Rio Grande Western K 28 engines. They were numbered 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 255 and 256.
